AVO Education Days

October 2008

SIP held three invitation only AVO education days in Aberdeen, Stavanger and Copenhagen. In all, 80 delegates attended from 33 business units representing 25 different oil and gas companies indicating the keen interest across the sector in understanding more about the correct application of high-tech seismic imaging and interpretation methods.

The day comprised background theory to AVO, rock physics and seismic inversion and addressed the importance of correct seismic processing and imaging to obtain the optimum input to any reservoir or exploration study.
