SIP works with KACST

September 2009

SIP have formalised an agreement with KACST to offer time/depth Imaging and AVO/Inversion services in the Middle East. KACST has an extensive range of skills and research staff with significant experience in the region in special projects. This is a natural fit with the services offered by SIP. SIP and DECO Geophysical

September 2009

SIP has recently formed a strategic alliance with the Russian company DECO Geophysical to collaborate on geophysical services. DECO is a Moscow based private company that was formed as a spin off from Moscow State University to provide seismic data processing and interpretation services plus research and software development. Their specialist pre-processing tools are developed within the ProMAX framework and will supplement SIP's high-tech offerings such as AutoImager and Reverse Time Migration with unique model building capabilities. There is also a natural geographical fit as the majority of DECO's existing customers are based in Russia, whereas SIP has a very strong Western European client base. The agreement also enables DECO to offer SIP's high-end imaging and inversion services throughout Eastern Europe.

SIP adopts Tsunami Depth Imaging Tools

September 2008

Seismic Image Processing Ltd (SIP) is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Tsunami Development of Houston, Texas for complete access to all their Depth Migration software. This partnership means that the unique and geologically accurate interval velocities derived from our AutoImager™ technology can be used as a near-perfect starting model for 3D pre-stack depth migration. Only one or two iterations of tomography (if at all) are subsequently required, which gives SIP a distinct advantage over other contractors.

AutoImager is a trademark of Data Modeling Inc.

About Tsunami Development

Tsunami Development was formed in 2000 with the goal of developing prestack migration software designed and optimised to take full advantage of the low cost linux cluster technology. This meant writing software code from scratch and not recompiling existing code to run in a Linux cluster as so many other companies have done. Tsunami migrations are faster than the most popular systems with better image quality. The exceptional scalability has been tested and proved over 1000's of CPUS.
