Asking the right questions
SIP people are highly trained and motivated experts in geophysics and associated disciplines. They understand the exploration decision making process, appreciate operators' needs and approach all interpretive tasks with a skilled, critical and, most important, an experienced eye.
With instant access to all the relevant geophysical disciplines, we respond quickly and deliver a high quality geophysical service aimed specifically at meeting our clients' exploration and production goals.
Understanding at every level
Seismic imaging is highly specialized. Reading the patterns and translating them into 3-dimensional models, extracting accurate depth imaging solutions, linking seismic interval velocities and well velocities, preserving amplitude and making depth conversions, all contribute to the critical process of building a complete geophysical picture of the subsurface. All fall within the realms of SIP's expertise.
Our understanding of exploration needs and objectives and our willingness to establish close strategic alliances with clients, vendors and consultants makes us a partner of a choice in the field of seismic processing. Clients from Europe to the Caspian, from West Africa to the Gulf of Mexico know that we deliver high-quality results in record time.
The team

Jagat Deo - Managing Director/Senior Geophysicist
Jagat is the Managing Director and founder of Seismic Image Processing Ltd. He is a geophysicist with 28 years experience specialising in PreStack Depth Migration, Elastic Inversion, AVO & Attribute interpretation. He spent a total of 18 years at Britoil & Amoco in various roles in the technology group and, due to his broad geophysical knowledge and innovative use of software, SIP has become a contractor of choice for many of our clients.
Dr. Anthony Fogg - Head Of Rock Physics and Inversion
Anthony has provided integrated rock physics, AVO, inversion and interpretation studies to the oil and gas sector since the early 1990's. He obtained his first degree in Geophysics (Geological) from the University of Leicester (UK) and his PhD in Geophysics from the University of Leeds (UK). Anthony has an oil company background working in the North Sea for Amoco and offshore for wireline logging operations. For more than a decade he has led geosciences teams in the provision of bespoke rock physics studies for private, national and multi-national corporations in basins across the globe. Anthony has presented many technical papers and case studies at international industry conferences and been involved in dozens of successful exploration and production projects in Europe, Africa, the Middle and Far East.
Dr. Simon Kelk - AVO processing
Simon has 16 years interpretation and seismic analysis experience working on 2D and 3D seismic data (both marine and land) in basins around the world, using a wide variety of interpretation, visualisation and seismic analysis tools. His first degree was in Geological Sciences from the University of Leeds (UK), followed by a MSc from the University of Durham, and a PhD from the University of Leeds. Simon's oil company experience at Amoco, ARCO and BP has been split between seismic interpretation and seismic analysis (AVO, inversion etc). Recent projects have included: prospect identification & de-risking, development well planning, shallow hazard mapping, AVO analysis and integration, and software development.
Simon Clifford - Geophysical Processing Manager
Simon has 20 years of seismic data processing experience, both onshore and offshore, 2D and 3D. After initial spells with Veritas, Scott Pickford and CGG processing large volume 3D surveys, including some high resolution seismic acquisition experience, Simon moved to Landmark where he spent 9 years working as a Geophysical Consultant supporting ProMAX and depth imaging tools. He also conducted ProMAX training courses and installations around the world. He then spent 2 years as the Sales Manager for Spectrum Energy & Information Technology Ltd, covering seismic data processing sales for Europe. Simon has presented technical papers at both the EAGE and other regional technical forums.
Beatrice McGlen - Senior Land Processor
Beatrice has 26 years seismic processing experience, concentrating largely on high resolution onshore 2D and 3D seismic processing. She has also been involved in several research projects for the EU including a current one she instigated looking at extracting sedimentological information from seismic data before coal-mining and then comparing the results with what is actually found during mining. This project involves partners from Holland, Poland, Spain and the UK and it is hoped the results could provide interesting feedback useful for reservoir studies in the hydrocarbon industry as well as mining.
Chris Robson - Senior Geophysicist
A chartered geologist with 18 years of land seismic processing and interpretation experience including processing in ProMAX and GMG Millennium refraction software, based on a practical geological background. Chris is also experienced in most aspects of onshore acquisition, from survey design to on-site processing and system management. Chris has a number of technical publications presented at industry conferences and in the geophysical magazines.
Matt Aitchison - Senior Geophysicist
Matt has 22 years of seismic data processing experience. He has worked internationally and offshore on projects from the North Sea, Caspian Sea, West Africa, the Middle and Far East. Recent work includes multi-component, multi-azimuth and time lapse, reservoir monitoring projects. Matt maintains a practical interest in the integration all the seismic disciplines from the survey planning stage, through the integration of borehole and surface seismic data in processing to data analysis for geophysical properties. In addition to major 3D surveys Matt has worked on many small scale test processing and proof of concept studies, acquisition tests and on software and technique development and commercialisation. He has presented several case studies at the EAGE and other conferences.
Simon Jackson - Senior Geophysicist
Simon has 20+ years of seismic industry experience, working with both onshore and offshore, 2D, 3D and 4D and VSP data as well as well log and production data. After an initial spell at Spectrum, he gained a masters degree in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College, London. Further work experience was gained during his 5 years with Western Geophysical, processing 2D and 3D Land seismic data, which included a one year secondment to a land acquisition crew as an in-field processor. This was followed by a short period with Scott Pickford before moving to Landmark where he spent 9 years working first, as a Geophysical Consultant supporting ProMAX, SeisWorks and depth imaging tools and secondly as the operations and project manager of the specialist Advanced Data Services team in the Information Management Practice. Simon has a wide range of skills and experience and has provided onsite consultancy to clients, all over Europe and beyond.
Adam Pegley - Senior Geophysicist
Adam has 20 years industry experience specialising in pre-stack depth migration, depth conversion, and integrated studies.
